Hello, movie buffs. My partner J.D. and I are starting this blog so that we can talk about our show, 2 Guys Who Don't Know Crap About Movies in more detail and discuss our reviews and talk in more depth about our weekly guests. Thirty minutes a week is hardly enough time to say all the stuff we'd like to say, especially when it comes to our views on movies; after all, that's why we started this show. Even though we don't officially know "crap about movies", we still like to jabber endlessly about our favorite and not-so-favorite picks of the week.
We also would like to hear from you, our six viewers. We want to know your thoughts about current films and why you think they work or don't work. For instance, why does a film with a budget of $80 million suck so bad (The Day The Earth Stood Still) when a movie with a budget of only 12.5 million (The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas) haunt you for days after you've seen it... at least it did us. But we'd like to know what you think, so please feel free to comment on our weekly rants and raves.
Our guest this week will be Professor William Akers, who teaches screenwriting at the prestigious Vanderbilt University. He'll be talking about his new book "Your Screenplay Sucks!". He'll be discussing the ins and outs of writing a great, or not-so-great screenplay from the Hollywood perspective. We'll start back reviewing films in February when our guests will be first-time writer and director Shannon Kinnard, Lensperson Tracey Facelli, who's worked on some major Hollywood movies and local horror filmmaker Ben Dixon.
Thanks for blogging with us and for watching Nashville's only television film review and interview show "2 Guys Who Don't Know Crap About Movies".
Oh, yeah, and check out our cool new website at www.2GuysTv.com. Catch the buzz!
